Little do people know that the term "romantic" refers to an idealized version of something or the expression of the ideal situation rather than something solely involving a guy wanting to impress women.
I think in this picture you depict the idealized version of the airplane: a creation of mankind to help and aid, an invention which gives birth to humanity's ancient dream of flight, and an expression of modern escapism that symbolize the freedom that flight brings and the airplane's role in such.
