Megan's Tail: Chapter 30 Megan's Tail Chapter 30: Five Years Later The very next morning, we reported the incident to the police. We told them how Marianna broke into our house in the middle of the night and kidnapped Madison. We left out the finer details about how she was a mermaid running a doomsday cult, and how we retrieved our baby using my wife’s new telekinesis powers. The police gave us the usual spiel about how they would get to work investigating the matter. Five years have passed since then. We still haven’t heard anything from the police. Fortunately, we haven’t heard anything from Marianna either. That was the last night we saw her or her goons. We figured one baby wasn’t worth their hassle, especially since Megan could fight them off with telekinesis. Granted, Marianna could manipulate water, and her goons most likely had other special powers; but again, it probably wasn’t worth the hassle for one baby. They must have moved on to prey upon another poor unfortunate soul to recruit
